Alex and his Animals at Hotel Tropical Casablanca

This is some more information about our daily dealings and fun things…Alex our receptionist has a great love for animals.  We call him the Turtle whisperer as he has a great gift with the Turtles, all 27 of them and he has been training them for over a year.  He continues to collect animals, and bring them to the hotel so that we can learn and understand some of the indigenous species in the area. 

He has mated the Beta fish, our Chinese fighting fish, a few times and he nurturs the juveniles as though they are his own children.  Look out if you do something to his turtles and fish, the hamsters we are babysitting or the other animals he loves.  To top it off, he is teaching guests about his tricks, love and knowledge of these creatures.  It is an education talking to Alex and he loves to tell you about his latest pet. 

Now dont think that we are creating a small ranch.  That we are not doing, but the property is so lush and beautiful, and with the cenote, we really are open to adding little animals that compliment what we have in the middle of Playa Del Carmen.
